Hi to everyone viewing my blog. This time around, I have a topic thats pretty much talked about in almost every blog. What I am trying to achieve here is to make my post every bit different from the others.
"Authentic Exotic Food". So what is so great about this topic?
A few weeks back, on a friday evening, I really wanted to eat something that was just a little different. My best friend, just that day, was referred to go to a Brazilian Restraunt (Amor de Brasil) by his Apartment Manager out at Overland Park, Kansas. Well, I wanted to eat something different but "Brazilian" different was not something that I was looking for.
It took my friend a little bit of convincing to make me "experiment" with a new cusine.
After dinner, I realized that this was the best authentic food that I've had in a very long time. The only filp side to this restraunt was it was a little pricy.
Some very interesting points that made this experience awesome was :
1 . No conventional Menu System.
2. Open Salad bar (tons of varieties....from shrimp and cocktail sauce to meat salads)
3. Food came to our table in form of buffet. Several attendants brought food to the table asking us if thats what we wanted.
4. The attendants came to our tables based on placement of the coasters. Green side of the coaster meant we are ready to accept food invitations by the attendant and Red meant don't serve me anymore.
5. Varieties were plenty. 4 kinds of beef, 3 kinds of chicken, 3 kinds of pork and 2 kinds of lamb. ( No!! I didn't have them all...what do you think I am?)
The biggest highlight of the whole meal was their Bazilian Lemonade...very different from what we are usually used to.
The other biggest flip side to ths Restaurant is that it is NOT recommended to vegetarians. There is absolutely nothing in there for them (maybe just for the salad bar).
We ended the dinner with dessert, A huge slice of Chocolate Cake!! yummy!!
All in all a fantastic experience!!
Preview to my next blog post : "My favorite Guitar riffs and solos". Believe me, this is going to blow your mind!!!
