Places Visited....Interesting huh??

I was just thinking the other day that what would one do, to escape from the same old daily charades in life? What would one do to break that pattern? and, what would anyone do, to make life a little interesting? The first answer that came to mind was obvious....."Get away from it when you can!!!!"

How?....

By just making up your freaking mind ofcourse!!!

But then, reality hit me real hard...damn it!! I have bills to pay, loans to clear, credit cards, car payment and most importantly a job to keep.

Then, I realized one very important thing. At the end of the day, it happiness and joy that really matters.

I came across this quote from one of the movies that I had seen, it said >"Happiness is 'real' only when shared"

So, here I am, to share some of the best places I have been to in the United States.

Number 1 on my list is Colorado Springs in November 2006.
Why in November to one of the coldest and bizzare weather conditions in the US? Answer : It was Thanksgiving Holiday weekend and secondly I was 2 weeks away from completing my Masters Program. I had to do something to make it memorable.
Apart from visiting places like Pike's Peak, Caverns, Garden of the Gods, We (a total group of 5 crazy people) went on to visit the best mountin range in the US, The Rockies.
What made this trip so memorable was one tiny incident where I took my shirt off in about 28 to 30 degree weather and started wrestling(sorry!, not what you think it is) with my friends in snow. Believe me, that this was nothing but pure Adrenaline!!!

Number 2 on my list was the 2 leg trip to Hollywood and Las Vegas in December 2004 and December 2006.
The 2004 trip was when my Parents were in the US. This made the trip all the more interesting. The 2006 trip was when we (Uncle/Aunt and my Cousins) went to Universal Studios and San Diego via Las Vegas (again!!).
One single moment that made the 04' trip totally worth it was seeing my Mom jump (literally) in joy after she won a jackpot ($22.75) after putting in the last quarter she had.

One single moment that made the 06' trip memorable(mostly for others) was when I was trying to punch the Giant Hulk manequin, unfortunately for me, it came up as though I was trying to aim at Hulk's groin area. Both my cousins laughed so hard that I thought that they would pass out laughing.

Number 3 on my list was the visit to San Antonio in April 2008.
The irony to this wonderful trip was the onward drive took 16 painstaking hours. At one point We (me and my friend), decided to turn around and go back home after being diverted by the detour. After reaching San Antonio, the very sight of that place changed the whole outlook to the trip. Riverwalk and Sea World marked this trip as one of the best places that I had seen..

One single moment that made this trip a classic was when we were having our dinner at riverwalk at one of the Mexican restaurants. The musicians were playing Spanish songs and all of sudden they start playing an upbeat hip-hop track and flip-floped this English track with Spanish without having to make it sound any different...simply awesome!!!

There are many more places that I want to discuss about but I have limited this to just the top 3 places that I have visited so far. Hopefully, I'll have more nice places to visit soon!!

It would be great to know which are the top 3 places that you all have visited so far. So post some replies in here.

Until my next post ....so long!!
